We are looking to interview qualified candidates to fill a key position in our organization.

Sales Representative job description and requirements:

CEI Bookstore / Truth Publications, Inc. is seeking a driven, innovative, experienced, and successful Sales Representative. The ideal candidate will be a strong Christian that brings direct experience with product sales management, be a strong team leader, and be a goal-oriented salesperson that will value and uphold the company’s mission while adhering to its employee expectations established by the Board of Directors. This position reports to the Director of Operations and will be on-site in Athens, AL.

Key Job Objectives: Lead and develop marketing and sales processes and strategies for all CEI Bookstore / truthbooks.com / Truth Publications products to grow sales and sustain profitability through effective marketing strategies, product knowledge, sales data analysis, and excellent customer relationship skills.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and execute trade sales strategies, promotional campaigns, and pricing strategies to drive increased sales and market share of assigned accounts/channels.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including market expansion and customer acquisition.

Foster and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry influencers.

Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, market trends, and customer feedback to optimize sales strategies.

Ensure the continuing development of professional skills through appropriate training and personal market and product study.

Collaborate with marketing, product management, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.

Participate in regular meetings, including but not limited to, launch, planning, presales, sales conference, and weekly sales and marketing meetings and consistently provide account-specific feedback.

Stay updated on industry trends, competitive activities, and regulatory changes that may impact sales.

Identify opportunities for enhancing and improving campaigns—new tools, platforms, partners, outlets, sales accounts, best practices, marketing trends, sales trends, etc.

Create series campaigns and key-title campaigns for multiple titles/series each year.

Execute best practices for metadata and promotion of both front and backlist titles.

Pitch organizations, social media influencers, and retail partners for cross-promotional opportunities.

Along with Director, develop strategy for and manage events and conferences (local and offsite)

Oversee relationships with key customers and wholesale accounts.

Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate directly with authors, sales representatives, and resellers to maximize campaign effectiveness.

Lead marketing and sales department with direction, planning, schedules, and strong communication across departments, and with the Director.

Take direction from the Director regarding strategy, priorities, and special assignments so that management objectives and priorities are achieved in a timely manner.

Other Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Prefer 1+ years of marketing and sales management experience with a keen understanding of title marketing and interest in a wide variety of books for adults and young readers, Christian products, or relatable sales experience.

Demonstrated leadership, project management, budget management, staff management, organizational skills, and prioritization skills.

Strong creative vision and brand building experience.

Ability to conceive and inspire execution of consumer-facing and reseller campaigns.

Positive and enthusiastic attitude, with an excellent work ethic and attention to detail.

Exceptional written and oral communications skills, plus engaging presentation skills.

MS Office Suite experience required; experience with Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Facebook business, Google business, BigCommerce, Brightpearl, Square, and Hootsuite preferred.
