Product Description

Dan is an excellent student and commentator of the Bible. His material provides the reader with the contextual background information to more fully understand the biblical text along with the tools necessary to apply the text. While his material at times challenges the reader to expand his thinking ability, if not his vocabulary, it is always richly rewarding. Someone stated, “Buy at least one of his commentaries and you will in all likelihood want to own every one of them!” Dan wrote the Truth Commentaries on Daniel, John, Hebrews, and 1–3 John. He has also written several other books and workbooks, including the recently released BTB workbook on Revelation.

    Great commentary!

I find all of brother King's commentaries very scholarly, yet still very readable and filled with practical wisdom. Great stuff!!

    Why the change in binding?

Posted by Unknown on Jan. 27, 2016

I agree with the others that have commented here. My rating is certainly not based on the content in the commentary, but rather on the change of the binding. This was also the last commentary in the New Testament set for me and it is very disappointing to see the set is not mismatched. I hope this does not happen with the rest of the Old Testament commentaries as well.

    The binding is terrible

Yes, I would join the other reviewer and comment that the binding does not match the other books and looks rather cheap in comparison. It is the last book in the NT set for me, too, and I am also not happy.

Content is excellent...... Change in the binding not so much!

Posted by Unknown on Dec. 15, 2015

We have been purchasing the truth commentaries for ourselves and family members as they are published. James was the final volume to complete the New Testament. When the 3 copies we ordered arrived, we were extremely disappointed to see that you have used a cheaper binding that does not match the others in our set. The marking are the same, but the finish is completely different. This will definitely stand out in our book case. Not happy! Concerned that the same thing will happen with the remaining OT volumes.
Let us emphasize that our rating is not for content, but rather for the change in binding.
