I was given this item a few years ago & appreciate its ease of handling, appearance & features. Purchased one for our son, who also leads singing. He was very impressed by the same characteristics. Much easier to direct the congregation than wielding a hardback hymnal.

I really like the Flex binding. I was unfamiliar with the terminology and thought I was getting a binder. Since that was not the case, I've made due with this very nice book.

As a song leader, I have always enjoyed using a leather bound song book. I was a little skeptical at first since this was called a flexcase, but I decided to go for it. I am so glad I did. This song book is very comfortable to hold. It lays nicely in my hand no matter which page I am on. The inclusion of a second bookmark is great since I often use small pieces of paper to mark my selections. I look forward to the day the local congregation I attend decides to start using Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs.

Quality hymnal, well edited, tasteful variety of pieces

This may be the best hymnal ever produced in churches of Christ, in my opinion. It is easily the most useful of hymnals currently in print. Those looking for more of the contemporary praise songs, particularly, those that are poorly composed yet catchy, may be disappointed. There is much fresh music included, however, including songs that will appeal to young and old.

I do not care for the speckled page edging. That is the only negative. That, and I would like to see more of Glenda Schales work included.

Leather Bound Hymnal

I was very pleased with the leather bound Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs hymnal. It is much lighter and easier to hold than the hardback. I was also happy with the appearance of the hymnal, rich brown leather with gold letter engraving. I bought it for my nephew's birthday and hoping he likes it as much as I do.

I had the song book engraved and gift wrapped it for the song leader of our congregation and he absolutely loves it. It's a beautiful song book with beautiful songs of praise.
