    Chapman Is On Target Again

Posted by Wayne Kelpin on Jun. 2, 2013

Where was this book when we were raising two teenagers? The fact that we did so well is a testimony to dumb luck and two very understanding and flexible youngsters. This is an invaluable book for any parent about to begin the teenage years with their children. Using the same basic framework (five love languages - acts of service, gifts, quality time, physical touch, and words of affirmation), Chapman directs his comments to the needs of parents. His approach to establishing family "rules" is exceptional. Read in conjunction with another of his books - Five Signs of a Functional Family, you cannot go wrong. After reading this later book, I ran right out and purchased a copy for my son and his wife. When their daughter becomes a teenager, I will present them with a copy of this book. No caring parent can go wrong with this book. Buy a copy now!
