Wind Beneath My Wings is a novelette based on the life of Mickey and Bill Guimarin. After being married for over fifty years, Bill was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. This disease impacted his family and friends, and Mickey's life was forever changed. The story follows how Mickey continued to care for Bill and how she dealt with his memory loss and how she dealt with her new role in their marriage. Wind Beneath my Wings was written to spread the word about Alzheimer's and to help others who are going through similar experiences with a loved one.
