A God Who Forgives!
God lives to pardon mankind from sin and has gone to extreme lengths to do so. Isaiah wrote, “let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon,” Isaiah 55.7. The Old Testament prophet Micah said, “Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of His inheritance? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in steadfast love,” Micah 7.8. How far did God go to pardon us? He sent His son to die, John 3.16. John the Baptist referred to Jesus as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, John 1.29.
In this tract, Matthew Allen talks about the beauty of God's mercy and forgiveness.
