Knowledge of these struggles of the past can assist us in contending for the faith in the perpetual battles between the servants of righteousness and the servants of sin. The battles of yesteryear cannot be fought today, nor can the soldiers asleep in thier tombs win our victories. But by thier noble actions they challenge us to to fight valiantly and faithfully.
