Mark Mayberry (1957—), the son of Donald Mayberry and Ruth Hutcheson Mayberry, was born in Nashville and raised in Middle Tennessee. He spent most of his childhood in Clarksville, where he obeyed the gospel and was a member of the South Clarksville congregation. He met Sherelyn Finley while attending Florida College, and they were married in June of 1978. After moving to Texas, the Mayberrys lived in Groveton (79–81), Tyler (81–86), and Cooper (86–91), laboring with faithful brethren in each community. In 1991, they moved to Clarksville, TN, and spent seven years working with the Warfield Boulevard congregation. The family returned to Texas in 1998, to the city of Alvin, located south of Houston, which remains their home. They work and worship with the Lord’s church that assembles at Adoue Street, where he also serves as an elder, along with Darin Henry and Paul Linden. He and Sherelyn are blessed with two wonderful sons: Nathan and Ryan; two lovely daughters-in-law: Sarah and Emilee; and two precious grandchildren: Kaelyn and Jackson. They have been encouraged by good brethren in each place where they have lived, and are also thankful for their extended physical families, most of whom are loving, faithful Christians. Mark has written extensively over the years on a wide variety of biblical and religious topics.
