This is the third book of this series focusing on the times of Moses. The Law of Moses was given exclusively to govern the sons of Israel. It was never intended for any other people (Exodus 19:3-8). Now, the time of its jurisdiction has ended, for the Law has been fulfilled and superseded by the new covenant in Christ (Matthew 5:17; Romans 10:4; Hebrews 8:13). Nevertheless, a study of the Law of Moses is still profitable, for even now “the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully” (1 Timothy 1:8). By such a study, students can learn about the holy character of God and His expectations for His children. They can also learn about the Savior, for the Law was a vehicle intended to bring about faith in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:24)
