Bill Jackson has preached for the Southwest congregation, in Austin, Texas since 1981. At Southwest, he also teaches in the school of Biblical Studies located there; directs the Annual Southwest Lectureship; edits the monthly CHRISTIAN WORKER; and hosts the weekly television program, "Christian Evidences."

A native of Sheffield, Alabama, Bill began preaching while in the military in 1953, and began regular work in 1956, preaching in South Carolina, Mississippi, England and Texas, as well as holding 6 to 10 meetings in many states each year He has twenty-five years' experience in radio and television work, and has held sixteen religious debates. He is on the staff of several religious journals, and has written several books in connection with his work. He attended the University of North Alabama, the Navy's Law School, and David Lipscomb College. He graduated from the latter with a major in Bible and a minor in speech.
