The eleventh chapter of Hebrews serves as an outline for this series of lessons. The lessons are not separated into class periods but by topic. This class book is written to be used primarily in adult Bible classes, although it also would make a good Old Testament reference book. It attempts to introduce many of the Old Testament heroes, by not only studying their contributions to God's plan, but endeavoring to relate historical events, peoples, and other kingdoms of the world that were contemporary and touched their lives. The secular history is related in part in order to give external evidences to the historical accuracy of the biblical record.
