From Sinai to Pisgah is the second book of this Bible study series focusing on the times of Moses. Concerning this period of time, the Scriptures say, "For who provoked Him when they had heard? Indeed, did not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses? And with whom was He angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who were disobedient? So we see that they were not able to enter because of unbelief (Hebrews 3:16-19). After receiving the covenant from God, the sons of Israel marched from Sinai to the doorstep of the promised land, and Moses said, “See, the Lord your God has placed the land before you; go up, take possession, as the Lord, the God of your fathers, has spoken to you. Do not fear or be dismayed” (Deuteronomy 1:21). However, the people rebelled against God and provoked His wrath. As a result, that faithless generation would wander for forty years and die without receiving the land promised to Abraham. Israel would not inherit the land until a new generation arose with a new leader. From Sinai to Pisgah examines this period of Moses' life and Israel's history in a format that is suitable to group or individual study. The other books in this series are: From Egypt to Sinai and The Law of Moses.
