From Egypt to Sinai is the first book of this Bible study series focusing on the times of Moses. Concerning him, the Scripture says, "By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to endure ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward" (Hebrews 11:24-26). Moses made his choice at a time when the sons of Israel groaned under the oppression of the Egyptians. It was then that “God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob” (Exodus 2:24), and He called Moses to deliver Israel from the hand of Pharaoh. Four hundred and thirty years after Jacob and his family arrived in Egypt, his descendants made a glorious exodus and followed Moses to Sinai. There they received the covenant that would make them “a kingdom of priests and a holy nation” for God’s own possession (Exodus 19:5-6). From Egypt to Sinai examines this period of Moses' life and Israel's history in a format that is suitable to group or individual study.
