Some think that there is no application in the book of Leviticus for them- afterall, I'm not a Levite and I don't live under a law given for Israel. The reality is that Leviticus is extremely important to understanding God and our relationship with Him. The book shows the very definition of holiness. It shows us God and His "otherness." It shows us His desire- and requirement- that His people be "other," too. It shows the plan that God has for man to be able to approach Him. It also shows the results of neglecting or refusing His plan.
