Always Be Ready
Equipping Young People to Deal with Unbelief
by Kyle Butt

In these trying times, Christian young people need to do more than lock in a holding pattern and hope for the best. They must be equipped to confront unbelief with a bold, kind, loving, and fearless attitude. As the inspired apostle Peter stated, they need to "always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you" (I Peter 3:15). Instead of back peddling or cowering in fear, it's time we raise up faithful Christian teens who will be strong and courageous and make an impact on our culture of skepticism.

Great book for teen/young adult development-requires teacher prep

Posted by Trevor Y. on Jan. 7, 2019

I had the honor to teach the high school bible class using this book. The author does a fantastic job of showing the use of logic and critical thinking to help reach sound conclusions of faith in Christ. This is not a book specifically designed for a 30-60 minute bible study, but is well worth the time to adapt it for class. I keep my copy in my library for a refresher on the use of critical thinking as I study.

Not suitable for teaching a teenage class

Posted by Robin Hinote on Nov. 8, 2018

This book does cover pertinent topics for young people but is not presented in a classroom format easy to use. All the references are at the end of each chapter instead of imbedded in the lesson. Also, there is too much separate research through web sites and other articles for a teacher or especially a student to perform. I bought this to use in a junior high to high school class at church but it will not work for me.
